What is SLALAS ?

Sri Lanka Association for Laboratory Animal Science is the umbrella organization which brings together all researchers who have an interest in the laboratory animal science.
The Association plays a leadership role in increasing the awareness among scientists about the ethics in laboratory animal research, encouraging as much as possible the young researchers to look for suitable alternatives thus minimizing animal sacrifice on research activities, in conducting workshops on laboratory animal science and in training scientists for the field who could take the leadership role in the future.
